The BBB is even more useless than I am

The Better Business Bureau. Good god, y'all. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing! Say it again:
Repeatedly, all over the country, you see cases where you absolutely know for certain that the local BBB has received multiple complaints about some scam operation that’s operating in their area; but when they’re asked about that business, the BBB gives it a clean bill of health.

I will now forever be suspicious of any business that tries to pat itself on the back for being a member of the BBB. Just as I'm suspicious of any advertising that quotes Consumers Digest, a magazine that exists for the sole purpose of being confused with Consumer Reports.
