The FRB Oracle

I heard a news report anticipating a speech later today by Alan Greenspan. The reportersaid that following the speech analysts would be combing his text for "clues" to his assessment of the state of the economy. Clues? Look, Greenspan has always been a master of doublespeak, but if what he says is so important maybe we should get someone to cross-examine him instead of waiting for crumbs of wisdom to fall from the podium.
