You look like somebody died

Everybody's talking about Johnny Carson, who ran out of health over the weekend, and most of what they're saying is stuff you already know if you ever watched his show. If you want to read something worthwhile about Johnny, start with Mark Evanier's weblog, read his comments and follow his links.

Here's my only comment, and you're free to skip it. Most people don't really know how good Johnny was, even if they've seen him, because most people will never know how hard it is to do well what he did great. Just speaking in front of a group of strangers is hard, and multiply that by an arbitrarily large number for network television.
