Amid the kerfuffle—good weblog word, thanks, Wall Street Journal—over the CBS Reagan miniseries, Eric Alterman: Altercation points out that docudramas are always predictably inaccurate: "When one of the networks did a 'docudrama' about Ollie North, based on Ben Bradley Jr.'s biography, they had to invent a character to be the voice of morality in the Reagan administration because, in real life, it had none."
